Why can’t weekends be longer L My life would be much more enjoyable if weekends
and work week could be reversed. If only
I could find a few more hours in the day to complete the mental list that I am
constantly checking in my mind, maybe I wouldn’t be so sad to see my weekend
and its plentiful hours slip away. I am
sure many of college students feel this way but I dream of having time to relax
and pursue hobbies that have long sat dormant.
One day I will once again take out my paint brush and create paintings,
unearth the potter’s wheel and spend lazy afternoons in the time oblivious realm
of creating, these are the days I long for.
For the next year my life will be about providing for my family, course
work, and late nights. Since my decision
to return to school as a student my goal has seemed to be so far in the future
it seemed to be more of a wish than a reality. Now that I less than one year to obtaining a
dream it is so close I can actually believe it is going to happen. Even though I feel overwhelmed at times I am
proud to have stuck with my goal and will soon achieve my dream of making a
difference in students’ lives.
